Shabby wedding card

Hi lovely friends,
hope you are well!

I wanted to make another shabby chic
wedding card. So when I found this delightful
vintage photo, I knew I had to use it
for this project!

As an artist, I love creating things and
I also tend to be a perfectionist too,
which can be a bit of a problem at times!
I put a whole lot of love, time and
attention to detail
into the things I make.

It's a wonderful feeling when you've made
something you love and that you are
proud of.

Here, I have created a flower collage
using some beautiful mulberry roses
in pink and blue tones.

I have also added frayed cheese cloth
and light pink pearls which have been
adhered over the top of a clock embellishment.

The papers I have used are from the summer basics
collection by Maja Design and My wedding
collection by Craft & You design.

To finish off my card, I have used some
vintage cream lace and two ivory pearl hearts.

I also added a blue butterfly and the word 'memories'.

Hope you like this card as much as I do?!

Remember the wonderful

Hello again lovely friends,
here is another altered tag
that I have made.

This time, I have used a vintage
Photo Booth image of a beautiful lady.

I started by using a plain white tag and
adhered these wonderful papers.
Next, I used a script stamp along with a
Tsukineko brilliance dew drop ink pad in the
colour Platinum planet.

I have also used a small piece of Tim Holtz
film strip ribbon and attached it using
an epoxy brad from the Downton Abbey collection,
by Crafters companion.

Next, I stamped a Tim Holtz number
stamp in Platinum planet at the top of the tag.
Then, I added the words "live your best"

I have also used three tiny blue Petaloo flowers,
and I adhered some grey flat back pearls to
their centres.

Finally, I added the words "remember the wonderful"
and some ruler washi tape.

I have also used faded jeans distress stickles
to the butterfly to give it a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by,
see you on the next post

Live your story

Hello lovely friends,
hope you are well!

Here is a tag that I have recently made.
I just love this vintage photo of this dapper chap!

I covered a plain white tag with this
lovely clock paper and then I adhered
the image.  I have used a stitch stamp along
with vintage photo distress ink.

Next, I tore some french text paper
and adhered that to the tag.
I printed out the words "live your story"
which I thought fitted the image perfectly.

Finally, I fussy cut some yellow
butterflies to compliment the mans wings.

Thanks once again for stopping by

Hi again lovely friends,
here is another mini folio
that I recently made.

For the cover, I have used this beautiful
Medieval Queen image
which I coloured using staedtler pencils.

The gorgeous papers are from
Docrafts Madame Payrauds' collection.

I have also added beautiful vintage cream lace trims.

Inside, I have created pockets which include tags.

Thanks once again for stopping by,
see you on the next post.

Vintage travellers mini folio

Hello friends,
hope you are well!

It's been sooo long since I last posted on my blog,
my crafting mojo had gone A.W.O.L !
But, the pesky little thing has now been found,
it was hiding away amongst all my crafting goodies!

Here is a mini vintage folio that I completed
making yesterday evening.
I have used plain black card stock and
beautiful papers from the vintage colored palette,
by a company called Craft sensations.

For the cover, I have used this wonderful
vintage photo and Tim Holtz film strip ribbon.

For the inside of the folio, I created
several pockets and added another
vintage photo of this dapper looking chap!
Whenever I use vintage photos in my
creations, I always wonder who these
fabulous people are and what interesting
 stories they have to tell!

Here, I have created a pocket and a mini booklet,
perfect for journalling.

Here, I created cascading tabs using black
card stock, then hand sewn
using a saddle stitch.
The cascading tabs are interactive and display
photos, tags and tickets, which are layered.
It was my first time using a saddle stitch
and I must say I am really thrilled
with how it turned out!

On this page, I used a Tim Holtz
vintage script and an Eiffel tower stamp to
create a very old looking letter.

The last page in the folio features
another pocket and I added a
french postcard, which I thought fitted
just perfectly!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by
to take a look. I really hope you like this folio?

I had such a fun time making it!
