Halloween coffin treat boxes

Hi friends,
Hope you are well.

I know, I know! I'm a little early for halloween this year, but as you know we crafters like to start early on our holiday projects!
I've been making these Spooktacular halloween coffin treat boxes, which can be used not only for candy, but for jewellery as well.

I found a free template off Martha Stewarts website and printed it out, if you go over to there you'll be able to find it along with instructions.

Once I had cut out and assembled the template in black cardstock, I then started to decorate the lid of the coffin. I have used papers from the Carta Bella all hallows eve collection.

I have also used a skull cameo embellishment from my craft stash and adhered that onto the lid.
I created my own black rose using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and used leaf die cuts and black and cream resin flowers.

Here are some other designs that I have made.

I have loved making these coffin treat boxes, hope you like them too?
Thanks for stopping by to take a look, please feel free as always to leave a comment, it would be very much appreciated.

Pen-pal flip book (happy mailing!)

Hi again friends,
I've been pen-palling for ten years now and have made some wonderful friends through doing so, it means that I can travel the world with my heart. Here I have made a pen-pal flip book, perfect for snail mail, mail art and post crossing.
I have made this by using a ready scored kraft card and for the cover I have used a sheet of vintage looking paper from my stash and then I stamped over it using a variety of Tim Holtz stamps. I have also adhered a butterfly sticker and fussy cut stamped images.
Underneath the clock stamp I have adhered some vintage script ribbon (also the same ribbon has been adhered to the back of the book to make a closure)

Here I have used Kaisercraft texture stamps and a Tim Holtz French script stamp in Vintage photo distress ink and stamped the whole of the inside of the flip book.

I have made an inside pocket using a piece of Tim Holtz paper, that I adhered to the left hand side of the flip book, and used this gentleman stamp by Hero arts, which was stamped onto kraft cardstock.

I have made some tags to go inside of the pocket, the stamps I have used are Tim Holtz and a post card stamp to create my own postcards.

On the right hand side of the flip book I have created another pocket using the same Tim Holtz paper and adhered washi tape down the centre and also added an idea-ology adage ticket.

Mini mail art envelopes

I made these by using manilla envelopes, which I cut to the desired size.
Here I have used stampers anonymous french market clear stamps and the violette rubber stamp from the Hampton art old curiosity shoppe set two, to create the background.
These delightful cherubs were from kraft envelopes that I purchased a few months ago; I have fussy cut these out and adhered them onto my envelopes.

Alice in Wonderland

Hello everyone,

Today I'm bringing you my Alice in wonderland artwork, my nineteen year old daughter has always been a huge Alice fan since she was little, so she's the inspiration behind these. I wanted to make  something very special to give thanks to her for being my best friend and for everything that she does  I am truly blessed to be her momma.

Alice in Wonderland altered frame

To make this i used a wooden photo frame and i primed it with white Gesso, i then used some Lindy's stamp gang sprays in blue Hawaiian blue and a bit o' bubbly and perfect pearls mists in blue patina.
I then used some modelling paste and a Tim Holtz Harlequin stencil to get a layered effect, when dry i sprayed some more Lindy's stamp gang. Once i had finished decorating the entire frame, i then added this wonderful image of Alice and the Mad hatters tea party.

Here i have used some delightful wooden Alice embellishments that i ordered offline and have used some white cherry blossoms and blue roses, and a few metal key and clock charms,  I have filled a small glass vial bottle with some tiny blue pearl beads.

I decorated the entire frame using the same embellishments and painted them with white gesso.

I wanted to try my hand at some altered mail art and here i have used a plain white envelope, sprayed with Lindy's stamp gang sprays. Once dry, i then used a variety of Tim Holtz layering stencils with  picket fence distress paint and broken china distress ink.
When the background was completely dry, i then used a cheshire cat stamp, Alice quote stamps and a Tim Holtz harlequin and curiosity quote stamp.
Alice and the white rabbit were stamped onto water colour cardstock and coloured with Docrafts artiste pens. I cut these images out and adhered them onto the envelope. To complete the look i drew some hearts freehand and used xmas red stickles to give them some added sparkle.

Thanks once again for stopping by to take a look at my blog, comments are always welcome.

Shabby Chic stepper cards

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a couple of shabby chic stepper cards that I've made.
For this card i have used vintage paper from my craft stash and added some vintage lace on the bottom panel of the card. I then framed this beautiful vintage image topper from Kanban, using a frame die cut.  I have also used some butterfly die cuts and light grey flat back pearls and mulberry roses in shades of vintage pink.  To finish off the card i have used one of my sentiment stamps.

I am now addicted to making these stepper cards, i was quite unsure about creating them by hand, i know there are some dies out there on the market that you can purchase to make these. But after looking at a few tutorials on youtube, i found them super easy to make!
For this card i have used blue and grey paper from a company called creations, I've never heard of the company before, but found these wonderful paper pads in a local craft shop near to where i live.
Next i printed off this lovely vintage image from the internet and framed it using one of my frame dies. I wanted to keep this card simple, so i used some grey flat back pearls, die cuts and a glittery butterfly embellishment that i found in my craft stash.

Thanks once again for stopping by to look at my creations xx

Tags from the Fairy Den!

Hello again folks
I'm fairly new to this blogging thing, so I thought I'd post some of my makes from the last few months!
I wanted to go back to making some tags and I got out all my crafty stash and came up with these little beauties. I like to take myself off sometimes into the fairy den and surround myself with beautiful crafting goodies!
Here are three tags that I have made using some beautiful vintage images that I picked up from Ebay a while back.

I adore this beautiful fairy image, I am a self confessed lover of fairies, mermaids, angels and unicorns; anything magical and mystical! To create this I have used a blank piece of white card stock, measured at  6"x3" and covered it with a piece of Tim Holtz card stock. Next I used a few of my stamps to create a background. I then added a piece of torn up cheesecloth which has been sprayed with perfect pearls spray mists in biscuit, from Ranger.
I then added some vintage lace at the bottom of the tag and used some Prima flowers with a flat back pearl in the centre, then punched a hole at the top of the tag and threaded the same lace through to complete the look.

Here are the other tags that i have created using the same process.

Shabby Chic card

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here! i recently made this shabby chic card; i love anything vintage and shabby chic, and i love the romantic feel that comes to mind when creating something like this. For this card i have used some gorgeous 'house of roses' paper by lemon craft.

I have used some ivory trim and a mixture of mulberry flowers in tones of baby pink and ivory and added flat back Ivory pearls,to give a touch of elegance. Underneath the roses i have added some die cut swirls and a Paris cabochon. Next i adhered a resin frame and used a die cut spelling the word love in the centre, followed by some small flat back pearls.
To finish off the card i fussy cut some butterflies from the same paper stash and used some Pinflair iced diamond to give their wings some added sparkle.
